Information on Lipodox can be found here.
The job now is to prevent this shortage situation from happening again with other generic drugs critical to the survival of cancer patients.

Teal is the awareness color of ovarian cancer. Women of Teal is a play on the words "Man of Steel" used to describe Superman. I have found my fellow ovarian cancer survivors to be the strongest, most helpful women in the world. They are truly Women of Teal!

Your post just showed up as a result of Google alerts. I also write an ovarian cancer blog and have written a lot about the drug shortages. I would be pleased if you took a look. helpkeepasisteralive.blogspot.com
I read your Feb 17th post before. I think I saw a link to it on twitter. I've added your blog to my blog list.
Thanks. I have also added your blog. Together we are "women of teal"!
I'm following both of you! lol
Interesting info on the doxil. That would have been my Onc's drug of choice for my current regimen. Instead I'm on topotecan which, for the time being, is "supposedly" working.
My sister told me of this and I read an article posted by USA Today... That is really good news... Though the US company Jenssen says that this is not an equivalent to their Doxil... Really Jenssen, I think and have thought this is a load of garbage... And now the FDA is proving that... Jenssen has issued another letter that will be linked to my next blog, saying of this new found source, and they have found another 3rd party manufacturer to make Doxil and get it back in the market. Interesting this came out right after the USA Today article of a Doxil equivalent being imported from an FDA inspected manufacturer in India...
