You can now get Ovasure test online. It can be expensive, about $350+, but you don't need a doctor's visit or order. It seems to be only for early detection of ovarian cancer, not a recurrence.

The online test is not available in NY,NJ,RI and California as stated on the personalabs.com website.

The test has been removed from the Personalabs website without explanation. I read the FDA want to ask more questions of Labcorp and clarify who will benefit from it.
ReplyDeleteI will let you know if I can find out more.
Thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteI was speaking to a Gyn-Onc from Sloan and they said Ovasure should only be used for high risk women until more studies are completed.
I read this article on CNN.com this morning about a possible marker for detection of ovarian cancer discovered at the University of Pennsylvania. Here is a link to the article - http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/conditions/09/23/ovarian.cancer.marker/index.html?iref=mpstoryview
ReplyDeleteStill early days, but hopeful.
Thanks I read the same article this morning.
